Hi, I'm Alina - a freelance illustrator, a storyteller, and an art educator. I have made numerous illustrations, kid's books, and comics.
Illustration is my second language and my way of understanding the world. I’ve been drawing since I was 1.5 years old and all thanks to my father who let me play in his studio while he was painting. For that, I’m forever grateful and his biggest fan. 
You may know me as Karina Shor - a pen name I gave myself while earning my master's degree at the School of Visual Arts, in New York. I wanted to give myself space to create outside of what I thought was possible for me. These days I'm celebrating exactly that with the release of my first Graphic Novel with Street Noise Books, which was published end of November 2023.

In the past 7 years, I have also taught illustration, drawing, and comics to different level groups from university courses in the US and Germany, and to private non - professional lovers of art.
